20-20 is for young players?

Yes twenty-twenty aka pyajama cricket aka batsman's paradise flavour aka sixes and fours aka bowlers nightmare is for young guns like raina, dhoni, virat, that was the first impression when this form of cricket evolves in international arena, but this is surely not the case in this year IPL, thanks to world class performance of some of the great players who continues to entertain us in every single form of this beautiful game.

When the first 20-20 was played between England and Wales Cricket Board in 2003, it was surely for entertainment though bowlers did pay a big cost in that form, this form of cricket rejuvenates some of the bizarre, unorthodox shots(Scoops, switch hit) and that comes from some of the young players, but as this form of game continue to grow our genious who were treated not for this game shows that they can play and play good in any form of cricket.

The dominance of Sachin Tendulkar, Jacques Kallis, Adam Gilchrist, Matthew hayden and Anil Kumble(All these men are on the other side of 30) showed this world that it's just a form of cricket and they can play. They also showed that there is no need of slogging of hard hitting to score runs, those who saw sachin playing in IPL 2010 will definitely agree with me, what class, what grace, impeccable timing, it's a privilige to see master scoring runs frequently and with proper cricket shots, Kallis is in ridiculous form, bowlers are having hard time to even take his wicket, and what to say about gilli, hayden and his mongoose bat ;), Kumble too is impressive with his bowling skill in this batsmen friendly game. Only person who is missing is saurav ganguly, he is not having a good time, but i'm sure this old tiger will fire sometime.

I just wish IPL 2010 get completed smoothly because World cup 2011 fate depend on this series, player wise and organizing WC wise also, I also wish sachin and company continues to play like this only and give a cracking answer to critics who still feel that this game is not for over 30 guys..
